The 18 x 8.5" rear rim size is the recommended width for your 240mm, 250mm, and 260mm rear tire. With this being a universal size, the customer has several choices when it comes to tire selection.

Just be sure that the swingarm modification that you plan to use can support the tire that is later intended.

(FYI - our Warrior 260mm swingarm modification is the most popular among riders since it can support the choice of any 240mm, 250mm, and 260mm tire on a 8.5" rear rim).

Please also ensure to "seal" the rim on the inside (where tire is mounted) to ensure that the joined area of rim and widened lip are air tight. We can do this for you if you would like for an additional $39.

18 x 8.5 rear rim widening service with exposed weld bead removed. Rim will be processed using our proprietary "wet chrome" finish. This is a 5 layer chrome processing consisting of nickel, copper, semi bright nickel, bright nickel, and lastly hexavalent chrome. Its the best finish on aluminum in the country, PERIOD. Looks "wet", looks "liquid".

Choose "square" or "round" edge on your newly widened rear rim (just indicate your selection at check out)

The Raider can support the use of a 240mm rear tire without any modifications to the swingarm. Just trim away any visible threads from the stock fender stay bolts inside the rear fender, and your ready to go!
