This kit is comprised of a widened 18 x 8.5" stock rear wheel in "midnight" finish, and a swingarm cut/modified/powder coated. Lastly a Metzeler 240mm is mounted on the rear rim, all included in the kit price.
The rear wheel is carefully widened, and the exposed weld bead removed
by machining. The stock OEM original machine lines are re-introduced in
the wheel, and then the wheel is given several generous coats of clear. Finally the wheel is hand buffed and polished for a perfect OEM stock finish
All bearings and seals are removed from your stock parts, and pressed into your new wide tire kit parts, no additional charge for labor. Its always recommended to install new bearing that we can offer to you. Rear wheel bearing set is $75.
Swingarm bearing set is $59.
The swingarm is powder coated a deep rich "texture black" which is an exact match to the frame on your RSW. Swingarm bearings from swingarm are carefully removed, and pressed into the newly modified swingarm, free of labor charge. Rear tire size in this kit is limited to the use of only a 240mm rear tire due to specific swingarm modification.
(If think that you may later want to try a bigger tire than the 240mm tire size, opt for the 260mm kit that allows the use of a 240mm, 250mm, or 260mmm rear tire)
Please note, this kit is available to you on a "exchange" basis, when inventory permits. Or, use our "cores" to build this kit for you, so that you don't incur any down time on your bike. Please email/call us first to check our on hand inventory.
Or, you are welcome to send in your parts for modification if you prefer. (normal build time for this kit is 8 weeks)
